WOM@ TT: London, United Kingdom; Wom@TT presents & promotes London-based African,Caribbean & Latin (ACL) music & musicians. 100's of internationally acclaimed ACL musicians languish in London seeking places & opportunities to play. Many are much soughtafter & popular abroad, yet unacknowledged @ home except to do seasonallocal council park events/ festivals. Summer & outdoor events, seem to be the only times major promoters & producers consider programming UK-based musicians to bolster their programmes. Why only summer? Why always outdoors? Why should you have to sit in the middle of a muddy, field & get stung, to hear African, Caribbean or Latin music .what`s that about? Wom@TT (World Of Music @ The Tabernacle)aims to change all that. With the help & support of Carnival Village, in the newlyrefurbished iconic Tabernacle,London W11 you can now enjoy music from all around the world in rather more comfort. Launched in Nov 2008 with a 3day event as part of the London JazzFest, (a 1st in West London) Wom@TT has since staged 17 shows @ Tabernacle featuring 160+ ACL musicians. Working in partnership w Carnival Village we celebrate London based pioneers who have made groundbreaking achievements
